Goldmine Pickers perform innovative acoustic newgrass and swinging originals with a taste of Irish and jazz. The band started as a duo and has expanded in the past year to a four-piece ensemble of dedicated, versatile musicians. With guitar, upright bass, mandolin and a fiery fiddle, they like to call themselves "one banjo short" of a bluegrass band. Lead vocals are shared between band members, who also join for three-part harmony. This Goshen, Indiana band brings together a group of exciting young musicians with national-and world-class inspiration and training in bluegrass, Celtic music, and jazz. No admission charge!
