A Seattle trio Stephen Holden of the New York Times referred to as possessing "a level of craft not often seen in pop," Uncle Bonsai returns to The Ark in Ann Arbor for a night of intricate harmonies, incisive wit and bittersweet humor. The trio will be recording a new live CD this evening, and will feature new material. Think Peter, Paul and Mary as conducted by Frank Zappa, or Stephen Sondheim orchestrating and writing lyrics for the Roches. Upbeat, alliterative, and surprisingly sophisticated humor.
