Bill Kirchen and George Bedard are Ann Arbor's very own guitar gods, virtuoso players who in the course of a single evening whirl through a whole gallery of country and rock styles. Rich Dishman is the drummer of Bedard's band the Kingpins and a crackerjack master of rock 'n' roll rhythm. These three musicians were linchpins (or kingpins) of roots music in Ann Arbor from the start. Kirchen, after a stint as lead guitarist with Commander Cody & His Lost Planet Airmen, has gone on to an acclaimed solo career, and when he returns to town his concerts turn into joyous reunions celebrating the glory days of the Ann Arbor honky tonk scene. When he appears with George Bedard and Rich Dishman, they'll raise the roof!
